Errors and Ommisions
Covers financial losses due to errors or omissions in the design, manufacture, or instructions for your services.

How much does it cost?

The insurance is provided in with the Wingman Pro subscription which is $49.50 per month, with a 12 month commitment.

What is covered under this policy?
  • Public Liability: Covers injury, property damage, and advertising liability occurring during the policy period.
  • Products Liability: Covers injury or property damage caused by products supplied by the insured.
  • Pollution Liability: Covers injury, property damage, or advertising liability caused by pollution resulting from sudden, accidental events
What is the period of insurance?

The policy covers a 12-month period. Starting from 1 January 2025 or the date in which you sign up, whichever is later.

What are the geographical limits of the policy?

The policy provides worldwide coverage but excludes claims in the USA, Canada, Cuba, North Korea, or Iran unless specific exceptions apply, such as unintentional export or business visits​.

How much is the excess for claims?

An excess of AUD 2,500 applies per occurrence or series of occurrences arising from one cause. This does not include defence costs, which are covered separately.

Does the excess apply to all claims?

Yes, the excess applies to all claims unless specifically excluded under the policy.

Are there any activities or events not covered by this policy?

Yes, key exclusions include:

  • Injuries to employees covered under workers’ compensation laws.
  • Pollution (unless caused by sudden, accidental events).
  • Cyber liability, including data loss or breaches.
  • Liability arising from molestation, sexual abuse, or harassment.
  • Liability for nuclear, asbestos, war, or terrorism-related incidents
Am I covered as a contractor?

Yes, specified contractors are included in the coverage if declared under the policy. Ensure your details are submitted to be included as a named contractor​

Do I need to pay for my own coverage?

No, The Shift Corp/Wingman will pay on your behalf.

What should I do if I am involved in an incident that may lead to a claim?

Notify Canopius immediately. Written notice of any event that may give rise to a claim must be provided as soon as possible, and within 30 days where practicable

What is the process for making a claim?

Claims must be submitted in writing, providing all relevant details and supporting documentation. Defence costs are covered in addition to liability limits, but the excess will apply​. Submit direct to Canopius.

What is the maximum coverage for claims?
  • Public Liability: AUD 20,000,000 per occurrence.
  • Products Liability: AUD 20,000,000 per occurrence, capped annually.
  • Pollution Liability: AUD 20,000,000 per occurrence, capped annually
Does the policy include legal representation?

Yes, the policy covers legal costs for defence or settlement, provided these costs are approved by the underwriters

Does the policy only cover sporting events?

I work on corporate events in ballrooms or outdoor settings. Am I covered?
