BRAND ACTIVATION: CANON AUST OPEN TENNIS

The Brief: The idea was to put a unique promotional tool in the hands of the consumer to highlight the key features of Canon's Powershot SX 10 IS digital camera, while also being used as a competition entry piece. It also had to cut through the sea of other marketing materials at the Open...

In answer to this a double sided die cut replica camera was produced in actual size, with a lanyard style neck strap so consumers could pretend they actually had the camera in their hands and hold it up to their faces to take imaginary photo's, etc.

A 12 page brochure was also produced and glued to the rear display, highlighting all the camera's key features and doubling as a 'tear off' entry booklet complete with questions throughout, to be placed in an entry barrel to win one of the Canon Powershot cameras.

The item was used in conjunction with the brands partnership of the Australian Open Tennis tournament in Melbourne over summer.
